This wiki was designed to help parents and students understand what RTI is as well as provide resources to help ensure student success. The resources provided are meant to help students that are struggling as well as a reminder for parents of how to complete these math concepts needed to ensure success in high school Algebra.

About us:
Livermore Falls High School Response to Intervention (RTI) team is made up of four 9-12 grade teachers. They are: Barbara Jewett, a Jobs for Maine Grads teacher; Robin Miller, a math teacher; Mark Cyr, a gym teacher; and Megan Packard, a special education teacher. The high school RTI team was formed in September 2009. In September 2010 one teacher from the previous year left the district and two new teachers volunteered to join the team. Recently, we have been lucky to have Karen Smith help our team. Karen Smith is a professor from the University of Maine at Farmington who is very knowledgeable with current RTI practices. She ensures that the team is current with the most up to date RTI information.

Our Mission:
The high school has been dedicated to improving reading scores for the past couple of years. Based on this, the team has decided that this current year we are committed to improving mathematics scores at the high school while maintaining the literacy practices that we have used to help increase scores. We are currently working on a RTI plan that will work for all students. When this plan is ready, it will be shared on this wiki.

Purpose of this Wiki:
The purpose of this wiki is to explain RTI to parents, as well as provide valuable resources to students and parents. This wiki can also be used as a resource for educators wishing to give their students more practice with mathematics. There is an explanation of RTI on an attached page as well as explanations and valuable resources for pre-algebra material.
